Guerlain does not currently publish Cherry Oud as a conventional top, heart and base pyramid. The structure above follows the product's established launch presentation and closely matches Guerlain's current official description of cherry, a duo of roses, leather and oud.

Cherry Oud opens with a vivid, ripe cherry character that feels glossy and dark rather than candy-like. Fruity notes support the cherry before a prominent rose accord begins to emerge.

The floral heart combines Turkish rose absolute with Bulgarian rose essence, giving the fragrance a rich, slightly honeyed floral quality. As it develops, the roses become darker against the leather accord and oud.

The drydown is woody, leathery and slightly animalic, with oud giving the composition depth and contrast. Overall, Cherry Oud smells fruity, floral, leathery and darkly woody, with the cherry providing brightness against the heavier base.
